Fathers on the Move is a transformative initiative that empowers men to reconnect with their purpose and build stronger futures. Born out of a desire to break the cycle of recidivism, this mentoring and support movement was founded by Victor Glover, who drew on his own experience of incarceration to create a program for men pre- and post-release. Through mentorship, goal-setting, emotional healing, and leadership development, Fathers on the Move provides a safe space for men to reflect on their past, address personal challenges, and prepare to re-enter society with confidence. By fostering accountability and community, the initiative helps these men grow into leaders, both in their personal lives and within their communities.
“We began to create a safe space where men could dump out…where men were not going to be judged. They’re not going to be looked down on. Hey, we’re all broken and we’re trying to get it right.” – Victor Glover
“We need something fresh. We need something that’s going to help men to look at themselves and deal with themselves so that we could stop this repeat of size…we’re going to ask the man, give me five goals because you gotta set goals…Then the second thing we do is give me five issues. The top five issues in your life right now that you’re dealing with. And we’re going to attack those things.” – Victor Glover
