Most churches in North America are aware of the need for discipleship, but many are struggling to define and practice it effectively.

In an age of rapid change, skepticism, and content overload, the call to make disciples often feels like a daunting challenge.

At the same time, many discipleship efforts rely on outdated methods or rigid programs, leaving believers feeling ill-equipped to live out their faith authentically and boldly in their communities. Churches long for a way to empower disciples to embody the priorities of God’s Kingdom in organic and life-giving ways.

Discipleship Reset is about helping church leaders rediscover and reignite the heart of discipleship for today’s world.

At Fresh Expressions, we believe discipleship is the foundation of a thriving church. Whether it happens around the table, in everyday conversations, or through bold acts of faith, discipleship must be real, relational, and rooted in the way of Jesus.

We also believe that the Church can reclaim its call to disciple-making, even in a skeptical and fast-paced culture, by embracing fresh approaches that move beyond programs and empower believers to live as adventurous, authentic followers of Jesus.

Discipleship Reset will:

  • Expose the current discipleship crisis and equip leaders with tools to address it.
  • Provide fresh approaches to move from programmatic discipleship to organic, relational methods.
  • Empower participants to engage emerging generations in meaningful, lasting faith.
  • Inspire attendees to reclaim the table as a powerful space for discipleship.
  • Unleash bold, adventurous discipleship that activates believers for Kingdom work.

This week-long training will leave you inspired, equipped, and ready to reset discipleship in your congregation, unleashing the transformative power of Jesus in the world.

More questions?

What do you mean by “discipleship”? Would this week be applicable to my church?

Discipleship is the lifelong process of being with Jesus, becoming more and more like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did. In many churches today, discipleship is often pigeonholed into a traditional learning environment or church sponsored act of service. But whole-hearted discipleship can be so much more. No matter whether your church has already been rethinking discipleship or whether this is a new conversation, Discipleship Week will be a valuable opportunity for you.

What is the format of this event? What technology do I need to participate?

Discipleship week will air live for one week on YouTube. All registrants will receive an email with the link and a reminder.

I can’t watch it live. What should I do?
