Fresh Expressions are just for cool churches, probably in urban or suburban settings, right? Not according to Luke Edwards, a Mission Strategist with Fresh Expressions and a Fresh Expressions Pioneer.

In this video, he addresses this common misconception and explains why rural communities are also in need of new forms of church.

Church decline is happening in rural regions, too. But according to Edwards, these communities need fresh expressions for people who are disconnected from a church community. They likely believe in Jesus but have walked away from the church.

He describes several examples of successful fresh expressions in rural areas, including those centered around food, recovery, and outdoor activities. Could you see a fresh expression around these activities thriving in your community?
