If the church is genuinely the people of God, led by the Holy Spirit, around the person of the resurrected Jesus, and there is no part of society beyond the reach of the triune God…then church can truly happen anywhere. Yet, so often, our imagination for the shape of what these non-traditional expressions of church look like, how they start, and who starts them, is limited by our past experience. In this session, we will consider how the church can be both congregation and movement. We’ll also explore what fresh expressions of church might look like that are led by “non-professionals” in the intersections of everyday life.
